Title: Thread lock
Post by: K K Iyer on April 05, 2014, 01:38:21 PM
Not everyone has access to thread locking compounds like Loctite etc.
But most homes will have a bottle of nail polish.
In olden days we used to put a red dot on the nut/ bolt as thread lock.
This can be opened later without any difficulty (unlike if you use Feviquik).
Also there is a visual check of whether the nut has turned.

Pic shows servo arm pushrod adjuster nut thread locked with nail polish.
