give some idea to make engine mount on the spad plane.

normally u have a firewall and a engine mount on it..! the engine goes on the mount..!

u will have to reinforce the part from  the LE/wing saddle to the firewall .... to  coupe  for the vibrations from  the engine the alone coro cant take..!

make slots on to the fuse sides and slide in  a firewall.... dont forget to gusset  the back and front of the FW....  from the FW to LE  use ply on the sides.... should work  good...

I once used a plastic kitchen cutting board for making an engine mount for my spad. The picture though is from http://images.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/155231/Ay74280.jpg but the design was almost the same.

Yes. kitchen chopping board works perfect. If you have a nose down crash the first thing to break is the chopping board. That takes away a lot of impact force and minimizes engine damage.
