now that my latest project ended up being twice the weight i wanted it to be, i am seriously considering getting a weighing scale. i'll need something that can measure up to 3kg at 1gram accuracy. so which one should i get and from where?

This will only be useful for micro planes. So, in my opinion getting a weighing scale with a higher capacity in terms of the upper weight limit would be more favorable like the electronic scale used commonly in grocery shops.

I saw one weighing scale which can weight human body in a local shopping mall "Hyper City" and "Big Bazaar" the cost was Rs:1250/-
there was one LCD screen and weight base was of Glass.

As the MAX weight range increase their accuracy decrease and normal scale which has range of 0-120-150kg they have accuracy of +/- 2kg which is a lot for small foamy

Just amazing. The accuracy is too good and least count is 1g. Look and feel of the scale is awesome. Comes with backlight and feather touch controls.

It would be wiser to buy form E-bay India. It looks perfectly fine.

Kalyan/Sandeep, the  health/Fitness weighing machine have a capacity of 200kg and a poor resolution of 500g/1KG. For For foamies and smaller Balsa models, you need a resolution of 1gram. even a 20g Resolution is no good.

the 1KG/0.1g resolution 'Jweller's' scale is useful for micro planes as larger fomies/SPADS tend to have a AUW of 1Kg or more. nevertheless 0.1g resolution is seldom required.

these are mainly used by jewellers and other craftsmen. Would suggest to please check for the max weight it can handle. As I really doubt it will be able to function properly with 500 gram plus weight.

Roman, you should look at the resolution and the max weighing capacity of the scale when buying one. If you're buying  it for rc purposes (which I am sure is the intent), coro builds will easily go beyond 1 kg as you do bigger models, so I feel getting something that can weigh atleast 2 kg or so would be a good choice (although you can easily weigh items individually and add the results - but then ther is glue and zip ties and other times that get easily missed) and regarding the resolution, the smaller the better. The item you've mentioned seems to be a jeweller's scale and somebody's got to be filthy rich to have 2 kg gold weighed at a go . Hope that helps
