Hmm, It's always advisable to learn and grab as much as knowledge as possible about various RC Components before flying any model
(Infact even before buying any model)

The worst thing to do is to 'not being able to know what happened'
These are not toys and one of these 'not being able to know what happened' can result in some serious situation that you never want to get into.
Have you watched any video, etc to understand LiPo's?

There are a lot of reasons due to which a LiPo can get damaged, the most common of it is letting the voltage of any of the cells go below 3 volts.
Lithium Polymer batteries (No matter which brand) are quite different than Lithium Ion batteries as once the voltage on any of it's cell goes below 3 volts than a chemical reaction takes place in it making that particular cell permanently unusable and unchargeable.

LiPo Buzzer alarms works best in that case as it gives you an alarm as soon as voltage on any cell of a LiPo goes below let's say 3.7 volts (you can customize this threshold)

So if the damage happened after letting the voltage drop or if after letting the LiPo stay connected to the model for prolonged amount of time, etc then this need to be optimized first before finding any new LiPo as no matter which brand, all have the same characteristics when it comes to discharging a cell below 3.0 volts.

if you have access to multimeter, chek the voltage of each cell. if it reads somewhere around 2.5-3volt/cell, its fine i would say. if below that, you can hack it to skip the particular cell and use it as a 2S battery.

The balance connector brings out terminals from your battery. You can very carefully insert paper clips in the balance connectors and connect them to the multimeter to read your individual cell voltage without dissecting the battery. Whatever happens, dont shortcircuit the paper clips. Use a small piece of cardboard between the clips to reduce risk of shortcirctuit

Usually the problem with LiPo is letting the voltage drop below 3 volts on any of the cells.
Instead of the focus being 'Avoiding similar situation in future', the focus is on 'how to fix this LiPo'

Well LiPo have more advantages for the RC community than the issues
If there's a problem then look for a solution to that issue and you'll never have a problem again.

Well, you might be able to fix this LiPo but then you'll damage it (or the other one) again later.
I would get myself a LiPo insurance viz. LiPo Alarm

Once you get a LiPo Alarm and you still need a High Quality LiPo then get yourself a Turnigy Nano-Tech.

Learn from a mistake, learn from a loss. That's the way to enjoy this wonderful hobby Thumbs Up
