The only thing that would cause a problem is the thickness. I can measure the diameter of the antennae and confirm to you in the evening. Then the other thing that might be different is the thread at the bottom. I am not sure but wont the length of the antenna affect the range? no? We coudnt find a perfect match. Either the length was way too short, the attachment was wrong or something or the other...but isnt antenna one of the important componants of the radio? Isnt correct specification antenna necessary for your radio? If he dosent find a suitable antenna, he should not compromise for something and put a glider like easystar in air with this...the disaster will cost him a lot.
