Post by: kausha on February 27, 2014, 05:39:30 PM
Hey, i will get my BixlerV1.1 by tomorrow.
Always sold plane, never flown one, very excited to fly it.

To assemble, i need a glue gun. Any suggestions which kind of glue gun to buy and from where ?
Never bought a glue gun before.

I also need a 20AMP ESC only from a mumbai seller.

What made you think it can't be done?
don't give suggestions if you don't know for sure.

Glue gun is usually the last choice when building a foamie.  CA, epoxy, rubber contact cement, gorilla glue, are what I use before I go to the glue gun.

Which part of the Bixler requires a glue gun?

Bixler should come with a Foam safe glue, use it for construction.
Glue gun requires power supply in the field and usually not the strongest bond than CA or Foam safe.
Alternately you can try my method of repairs, put some Locktite 415/411 and spread it across the surface, then put a patch of fiber tape over it. this improves the overall strength and i never came across any problem on reopening of glued joints.
