For XT60 connector, buy 4mm ones as it fits on them perfectly. I just Love XT60 the way they fit. no clumsy Deans/bullets unless i am going past 50A.

Looks like the original XT60 connector was supposed to survive 80A, but HobbyKing itself is aware of fake ones that melt at 80A.

Saw that yesterday, we are safe as long as we order from HK only. The problem is I am facing problems with XT60s  ???

This is going off topic, we can have a separate thread. To be frank, this problem is getting on my nerves. Even Rajesh experienced this problem when he was setting up my heli during the maiden.  ???

Dean ultra is my choice .
Every thing has its pros and cons ,The choice at most times is to minimize the Cons .
This is where I trust Ultra Deans type more than others

OK Guys, the problem was with the Dry solder on the ESC!, The turnigy heat shrink was so tight that the loose connection was not showing out, even when I gently pulled on the wire :giggle:. Threw the Xt60 and resoldered a new XT60. This time I soldered 1/2 cm along the wire as well to hold it well. No issues now.  :)

EDIT: The previous solder was also done my me.  :P

Voila!! I had told you earlier. Now solder the XT60 connector with both male-female connected like I do. And Do use the 60Watt iron instead of 25W as 25W are for PCB soldering, not for heavy duty connectors.

Your report was giving me jitters after totally moving from Deans on my ESC/ Lipos..

This is no where connected with dry solder. Also I noted that it does not make any difference, If its making difference then it means you are melting the xt60. :D

Using low wattage Iron could be a cause of Dry solder. Regarding soldering with male-female connector plugged, even though the nylon material wont melt significantly, at high temperatures it may become a little bit unstable and any pressure on the bullet may slightly dis-align it from correct position. Having the opposite connector plugged, this would surely be reduced significantly. This technique is used even to solder Good Ol' Deans:
