Hello guys,

I am OFFICIALLY one of the few owners of the IRIS+ drones from 3DR robotics in india. I must say it is a pretty amazing drone. If there is anyone on this forum with an IRIS drone do get in touch with me.

The reason i am making this post is to get to know the best fpv system available for my drone. I already have a go pro hero 3 and i need a fpv solution for this.
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Hi,  welcome and congrats! Any FPV system will suit the pixhawk fc. Depending on your budget and purpose,  you can opt for any number of systems.
I would suggest as a beginner to go with the 5.8Ghz systems as recommended all over the net as an ideal platform to start fpv with. Do keep in mind however that 5.8Ghz is STRICTLY line of sight.  Even a tree in between your transmitter(tx) and receiver(rx) will block the signal.
In 5.8Ghz there are two choices: Boscam and Immersionrc. Both work well, imrc is a more higher end brand. Go along as per your choice and budget. For the monitor use one that does not go blue screen when signal lost.  You can choose quanum DIY goggles or boscam/foxtech/fatshark again according to budget.
So as you saw there are plenty of options, do some research on Google along these points and choose one.
P. S.  Don't use go pro as an fpv camera,  there is a 1-2sec delay in transmission of video.

For the BEST plug-n-play system,  choose fatshark dominator v2 goggles with their immersionrc transmitters. Take a look at team-blacksheep.com. For any decent range remember that good Antennas are way way way better than having more power like the 800mw and 2W tx. With good Antennas you can even achieve 1.5km range with 25mw tx!  Double power doesn't mean double range. Invest in good Antennas instead. Check the tbs website, they have everything you need.
