Title: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 16, 2015, 05:11:31 PM I'm upgrading mine so need a new set.
Open to all options but am mainly focussed on a min 7-Ch or 9-Ch Radio With FailSafe at the least Also, Anyone selling RCB 7x - ONLY Tx. Let me know. BONUS to that , I also am searching for a LiPo, Min 5000mAh at a good price ( last I bought was of ZippyMax for 2600 ) so please say a competitive price. ( liPo is not urgent so will buy only if a good deal is there ) Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: SK1701 on January 16, 2015, 05:22:32 PM If you are upgrading, you might as well go for a FlySky 9x. It is a better choice than the RCB7x since it much more customisable. It does not have a failsafe but you should be able to program a failsafe on the flight controller (assuming you upgrade from kk 2.1).
I would suggest that you buy the LiPo new since they have limited life. I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing how the LiPo had been treated when I have it. Buying new will let you get the most cycles out of your pack too. Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 16, 2015, 05:25:22 PM Yes I am upgrading but not want to break the bank too :P
And yes I meant new LiPo , Tx used is fine , not LiPo :P Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 17, 2015, 10:27:39 AM Anyone ??

http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/sale!!!-various-rc-items-for-sale-at-attractive-prices-)/msg211352/#msg211352 (http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/sale) The FlySky 9x is being sold at 5000-5100 here and 6000 from RCMumbai. I would suggest you add a LiFe pack to use with this (around 1K from Indian.hobby.Shop and 8$ from HobbyKing). Just make sure your charger supports LiFe. The RCB7x is available at just 3500 from Subhash Sir which you've already booked but I think the FlySky is the better radio for the long run. Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . 2> LiPo vs LiFe ? I have the IMAX B6 Charger and I dont think so it has LiFe... 3> I am interested in the FS 9x , ribz was selling it at around 5K, but his is out of stock too .. Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: sooraj.palakkad on January 17, 2015, 11:14:14 AM Parichya, on an Imax B6, you can charge any Lithium or Nickel composition batteries...
Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 17, 2015, 11:15:24 AM ok ... whats the benefit of LiFe vs LiPo? Pros and cons ?
Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: SK1701 on January 17, 2015, 11:21:45 AM LiFe is better suited for transmitters since their voltage is 9.9V fully charged, which is closer to the AA cells than a LiPo. This means that less energy is wasted as heat from the voltage regulator. Plus, they have lower self discharge rates than NiCad and NiMH cells. I can't think of any cons right now.
Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 17, 2015, 11:42:46 AM oh ok alright.
Still I think ill stick with LiPo for the mainstream usage basis XD Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 17, 2015, 07:29:41 PM bumping

What if the transmitter requires 12V? Wouldn't 9.9V be too less? Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: SK1701 on January 17, 2015, 09:08:29 PM The regulator in the Transmitter is an LM7805 5V regulator as far as I know so any voltage above that should be fine. I had wrongly said on your thread that 8 AA batteries is 9V (I don't know what I was thinking :banghead:: ). I had even read about some 2S LiPo conversions of the CT6B but those threads said that they might not supply enough power. A 3S LiPo should work but it might not be good for your transmitter. AA NiMH cells are also a good choice (supposed to be 1.2V per cell fully charged though mine go a bit higher)
Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: sooraj.palakkad on January 17, 2015, 09:30:55 PM SK, A 3S LiPo will work very well with that radio, and NiMh or NiCad batteries charge above 1.2V per cell that's normal .
@Cycloned, you can get any 3S LiPo or LiFe pack that fit's inside the battery compartment. (One option is Turnigy 1450mAh Tx pack) Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too . Post by: parichya.gautam on January 18, 2015, 10:20:27 AM anyone ? no one ?

Do you have it's receiver ? Receiver is outta of stock in Rcbazaar for months... Title: Re: Need Tx Rx for Quad., LiPo too .
