From what I know you can use a 9V adapter with approximately 100 to 150 mah output and charge for 4 hours for a 9 v battery, for 6 V you may need a 6 V adapter. variable volt adapters are also present. But again if you forget to switch it off, it keeps going bad or explode in rare cases.
