Hi Folks,
I came across this book by Scott Stoops showing the right way of maneuver flying. All the maneuvers are shown in details and a great book to have for all aeromodellers.
Would someone have a copy to spare or would it be possible for someone to make and give me a photocopy?

http://rcpilotguide.com/home/index.htm

Waiting to hear from the forum.

(a) it is a nine month old post, (b) while we all do it, photocopying / scanning and proliferating book of one our own RC brethren isn't it unethical ? (Even i asked a photo copy of this book from its owner (Not Divay !) when he explained why RC pilots world over should be supported by the fellow community, and i felt like a heel for even thinking about photocopying this book, so went ahead and bought'em) (c) i know the undercurrents between banglore and delhi, waiting to watch the duel on the sidelines Giggle

Alam
i must tell you (If you already do not know) realflight's  built-in tutor is very good, for individual mano, however what really bakes your cookies is to get the sequence flawless. say for instance '270-exit-wingover-stall turn 1/2 roll-wingover-cuban8'-exit-blender this need to be perfected (All of them involves control and visualization which can be tricky). all thes manos, to do it within the box and flawlessly takes practice, since i have this book and 2. 3D Aerobatics Made Easy 3.RC Precision Aerobatics Book 4.Advanced Aerobatics Made Easy 5. Helicopter Aerobatic Basics. i find all of them pretty much talk the same if one understands basic aerodynamics and stabilty and control issues

one can do his own thing, like for example, what i am going to write is not covered in any of the books or videos, this is my own thing, and may be it works only good for me and not for anyone else.

what i found, to do a short radius turn in a rolling harrier is just before the turn raise the nose while inverted to about 10 deg more with a touch of power and lead the roll with the rudder while reducing power so that you don't gain ht. this turns the aeroplane quick and without the risk of a flick. now this aspect is not covered anywhere, likewise there are many issues, one discovers while flying and while being connected to the aeroplane, to see, observe minute variations of the flying characteristics vis-a-vis control inputs.

bottom line, hand on teaches more than books do, while the start point could be the book

Hmm thats true.. I wanted to see the exact manuever of rolling harrier figures.... After 3months of practise now i can do both rolling harrier circle inside and outside and rolling loops not very clean though.... That is with left roll as well as right roll... But seriously the toughest part is to roll straight . Hehe.. Most of these were learnt on my own n by championship videos in super slow motion. ..... But the basic element of these manuevers is the slow roll... If there is book which tells you the sequence of manuevers n the right methods to approach.. Things become a little easy and you save alot of time... Gusty sir try this manuever on the sim... U ll love it if u get it right... Rolling spin on the vertical downline. .. Basically the plane is going spiral around the vertical downline... Hmm its the first manuever in the ITOC 2012 trailer video... U can see that for reference... But its not a invertd flat spin. .. Its rolling spin...  I cracked it yesterday... Took a week... Dats y we need such books...

True ! difficult to crack, but did crack it both erect and inverted, since i have done it in real life wasn't too difficult, recovering it to a slow elevator (Both erect and inverted) makes the mano look more classy, challenge is to do it on a swept wing (Swept more than 50 deg) recovery technique is completley different. try it !

i thought rolling loop is easier !! no ?

. Flying big planes doesnt make you a great pilot.

i agree! sometimes they dont know what and how they are doing it and why is it happening that way! again we go back to "..it is written inside your fuel tank" i guess it is..

congrats on rolling spin.. Not all planes can do that. .. Someone told me the same thing last night..  And yes upline hover spin wiyh gernot bruckmann does seriously a challenge.. Rolling loop is easy if  its slow roll n of big radius   .. But the moment u have high rates its difficult to coordinate elevator n rudder.. N it turns into a mess.. These european guys practice rolling loop from the top at high rates..they say second of the loops is more difficult...  Then come the rolling figure of eight... Im posting a video.. Its a must watch.. One of wildest american pilots alive gabriel altuz doing a rolling 8 on 100 cc. extra at tuscan aerobatic shootout... Goto 1:20  And then is gernot bruckmann at indoor flying event. .Check out the last part when he does that tight  rolling inside harrier. . Its insane.. Goto

This is gabriel at xfc 2009. .. On hanger extra 100c..
