its a 1/8 scale buggy at $147+shipping ....would come around 13k with shipping....
it would be a good one to start with.... reference and bit of racing....
better get that than a used local car.... and moreover good brand cars cost 40k ....even used cars

You can get a Tamiya - Schnitzer BMW M3 Sport Evo 1/10 scale kit for Rs. 8050/- (does not include the transmitter/receiver) or Tamiya - Porsche 911 GT3 Cup VIP 07 1/10 scale kit for Rs. 10,500 (Transmitter / receiver not included).

There are many more models in kit version.

You will have to actually build the complete car by yourself.

Nothing like building a model from scratch. You will get to know everything about the car setup.

Let me know if you need anything in Tamiya.

NOTE: These are electric version kits.

@Monu: The hobby king buggy is definitely good and cheap but make sure that you can arrange yourself a Transmitter and a Receiver or at least you can borrow it from someone and then order else might have problem at the last moment.

Also FYI, importing an radio by yourself is not really a good idea at all..... they will be detained at customs....

There are many threads here on this site where many people have got their items detained just because of the Radio in the parcel....

So I strongly recommend not to even think about importing a radio from out of India.

There are many dealers here in India who import and sell both cheap and branded radios.

@Monu: First of all thanks for liking my page on FB.

About the glow driver, I also read the details and looks like they do not include the Glow Plug or any other required accessories.

And glow plugs do not really cost much. I stock OS 8 Glow plugs  which are universally used in Cars, Planes and Helis also and they are less expensive compared to other parts.

On top of that OS 8 glow plug can be used in any weather (climate) condition.

BTW I am going to place order for Thunder Tiger products in a few days... if you want something then let me know.

Thunder Tiger also has good cars with decent quality.

Mugen Seiki Rules

Check to see if parts for this HK car is available. Since you are going to use for college, you will break parts eventually. Get something that will have parts.
