Title: Teacher for flying quads
Post by: rockmania.89 on December 10, 2015, 05:47:30 PM
Hello folks,

The father from a friend of mine is looking for an instructor for flying lessons. He also wants to build a custom quad. Preferably in the Nagpur region.
Pointers are appreciated :)

If you can't find a teacher immediately, practice flying on a simulator like FPV freerider. It's $5(you'll need a transmitter and cable), but it's the best $5 you can spend on practicing!

You don't need a teacher. Just buy a cheap toy quad like Syma X5C-1 or JJRC or Hubsan. These won't break, won't cause serious injuries and won't pinch too much if lost. Then there are ample videos in YouTube which teach how to fly. Once you master the techniques, flying bigger ones which have more autonomous controlling options would be easy. And yes...simulator is another safe option too provided you invest in a good transmitter which you'd require for later builds.

Yes, but that's a longer learning curve and there are times when you really get frustrated. Also, you need a larger initial investment. I wish I had someone to teach me when I started.
