Wouldn't something similar from shops like RCD or RCForAll suffice ?

Go by the same criteria you picked the TowerPro one.  First look at thrust/wattage, then KV, and supported props; you can pick one yourself.

Buy a Big Emax from RCD, they are cool motors.

what so special abt it? I have seen smaller motor like emax giving more thrust and well built!  ;)

It is not a great motor, but as a combo (motor/ESC/prop), it was a great value for money offered by HK.  But similar priced combos were also offered by RCD, so that aspect no longer applies.

I have used it on 3 or 4 foamies, and it does its job well !

Ya, I have the combo with 25 A ESc version(discontinued now), its definitely good. But if one is buying just the motor, the emax is more worth it as its a power house for its size and price. Wait till ujjwal reads this post  ;)

+1 Vinay. I have both the motors and EMAX wins thumbs down.
I wanted to get rid of the motor mainly due to inventory purpose (don't want to keep too many motors together as they loose magnetism).

If still anyone wants the motor (unused, just bench run)

I can spare it for HK + shipping cost to India (Rs 1/g) + any shipping to India.
