Why the RX sooraj. All you need is a transmitter to transmit the footage earthward. The quad's receiver is a completely separate thing. Is that what you're referring to? If so there are many varieties to choose from. BangGood are currently selling a camera and transmitter for just $22 US. A great way to start if the pennies are short. I have no idea how good they are, but I have one on it's way. Sadly they aren't normally that price, so you have a further 24 hours I believe.

You would need a receiver for your earth station and there are many available at a reasonable price. Let us know exactly what your plans are and some specs for what you need.   ...   Stu

I checked for you and for under 7K you can buy a very nice system. 600mw TX with RX.

http://www.banggood.com/Tarot-5_8G-FPV-600MW-Image-Transmission-Receiver-Set-TL300N-p-961975.html

Tarot is a well know company, I haven't used any of their equipment but I'd imagine it's similar to many others in the price bracket. Not the cheapest nad not the most expensive. All you'd need is a pair of clover leaf antennas plus your quad and a power supply (another Lipo) on the ground.

That's freight free too' Smiley

What i was referring to is, this : http://www.quadkopters.com/product/fpv-kit-and-accessories/fpv-kit-5-8g-200mw-av-txrx-system-with-sony-ccd-420tvl-camera/

If you are ready to weight for 3 - 4 weeks, you can order from either ebay or banggood, at too low prices. Otherwise you have to buy from LHS .

@sooraj, i have checked at quadkopters and various other indian sites as well. I had the plans to go for that product until I found it is missing the receiver.

I have seen tx & rx systems, but no camera and still very costly.

@propfella it seems that banggodd product is only tx & rx set with no camera.

@sooraj but it doesn't say anything about transmission range. Have any idea about it?

Actually you wouldn't be happy with the camera offered with that setup. Try to buy something with 700 lines. 500 is years old. As is the complete system. I haven't seen any setups selling with only 4 channels for some time. Most of the modern units have 32 channels. Buying just 4 channel equipment ties you to that brand only. There used to be one company selling one set of frequencies and another company selling another. This meant you couldn't mix and match different rx with Tx's etc. Now that 32 channels are available everything can be used with everything else. I hope I made that clear. :-)

There's nothing to say everything has to be bundled together. This camera is a good buy.

You will only get HD if the recorder on board is designed to record HD. What you receive on the ground is a long way from HD. The transmitters simply can't transmit anything close to HD. That's the main reason most FPV people use the GoPro to record footage and a separate camera to use for transmitted video.

I'm almost finished building another system. A GoPro on gimbals under the quad and a 700 TVL Sony camera in the nose on servo driven gimbals.
