This topic has been beaten to death here... 

So if you are starting with any type of RC for the first time, then go with an co-axial heli.  The LAMAs (eSky etc) make good beginner helis. Remember to go for the V4 or V5 versions with the one piece tail, not the one with the grid like tail.  Multiple LHSs offered them. There were some on sale in the classifieds ("For Sale" board) here, not sure if they are all gone.

If you are an experienced airplane flyer who wants to get into heli flying, a fixed pitch single rotor heli may be better choice.

PS: If you know what you want, and this is more of a "looking for used helis" post, then we should move it to the "Wanted" board.
