Ive been flying for almost 12 years by now with my first flight started in Sep 1 2013 with a simple corrplast flying wing which lasted for less than 3 minutes.
Looking back at this wonderful years and all the experience and people it gave me, i wonder if i could do it any better if i have all the things by then which i have now.

So i planned to start building the same models ive built and flown sofar to see if i could do any better.

What has changes now than what i was before 12 years ago?
1. Material knowledge? i now know the density if the material and the auw without even building the model.
2. Know hows of where to get the material. Working in IT for these years has given me the knowledge the search for things better and easier.
3. Time? I might be lacking this now since im married and have kids now. but i believe i can compensave that with my skills.
4. Tools and knowledge? I have gathered right tools for the right job for the past decade that i dont have to makeshift anything now.
5. Availability of materials. Things started getting easier to get and no need for costlier imports.
6. Skills? I now have become an better than beginner so i believe so i can build easier and faster now.
7. Money? Though earning more that what i was when i started, my contribution percentage towards RC has lowered significantly and i started spending responsibly. im still waiting for my next paycheck to get a battery instead of impulse buying which i would have 12 years ago.

With this, i conclude the first post of this Topic. on to the next one with Towel.

This was the first plane i built, https://makezine.com/projects/the-towel-rc-stunt-plane/
This was supposed to be built with depron and corro, but i have built it completely with 6mm corro due to availability.

Weighing around 1 kg with excess of 500g than the expected weight and way too tail heavy than expected, it was flying in high alpha all the time and needed a dead weigh of around 4 AA batteries just to keep the flight.

This 2 minutes flight on a early morning shaped the way i looked into the RC world and the rest is history.

Emax 2812 motor with 10inch SF propeller, Turnigy 2200mah 25C 3S, Flysky FS T6 radio and receiver Hextronics HXT900 servos all sourced from thehobbyshop.in.

I did a better version of it with regular thermocole laminated with hand wrap kitchen towel tissue, using fevicol and kept it on top of the fevicol bottle to dry overnight giving it a unexpected anhedral wing and better flight characteristics.

Nevertheless it was flying in high alpha all the time with WOT and has  very narrow margin of error and high stall speed.

I now have gathered the 8mm depron and 3mm corro for the top deck and built most of the parts in less than 30 minutes and waiting for some materials to arrive before i conclude my build.
Fingers crossed!!

My wife remembers taking 3 of my DT700 motors to Chennai for you about 10 years ago!
