The sizes for ribs and fuse depends on the size of the plane. This model needs 1.5 or 2mm ribs,2mm fuse,3mm for stablizers and control surfaces, 2mm liteply for formers and firewall.

Nice model jana sir
Build planes like feathers rather than tanks, both handle bullets equally well.

jana.f22

@Rcneil- Ha ha that was v2 eagle (ashok's) comment, "Tea saptu varen not idli" .

Would you mind sharing fuel tank details Jana?

jana.f22

I got the fuel tank from hobbyking it is a sullivan 10z fuel tank.

Thanks! Isn't 10oz too big for the engine? Considering most Cox tanks are around 5-8cc range.

Also, what kind of glow plugs are used on the engine. The regular glow engine ones or different. I haven't seen anyone selling glow plugs for cox engines.

Vishal, HK sells an adapter by which yo can use a conventional glow plug on a Cox

vishalrao

Thank you Sanjay Sir! Looks good. Have you used one of these engines? Feel like trying one.

jana.f22

@vishal roa am using the noraml os 8 plug on the cox, but you need a special wrench to open the head.

Vishal, the very first engine powered model I owned was a Triang Cox PT-19 Control Line fitted with a Cox Sure-start 0.049 :D

Sorry to hijack your thread Jana. No more after this (from me)  About 24" span, cut my fingers quite a few times too. Managed to successfully fly it eventually. Was using too much wrist in the C/L initially, then learnt to move the arm pivoting around the shoulder. Once it flew so long I got giddy, fell down, and crashed the model too

jana.f22

@sanjairai sir: Sir there is nothing to hijack, seems like C/L is tougher then RC. Wanted to try once so will soon make a control line model soon.

I don't know about tougher - they both have their own following
