Read about this fantastic feat of Maynard Hill earlier!
He was technically blind, but his tenacity was high-carbon steel quality.
The aircraft that classified as a model aircraft was to be less than 2 kgs AUW, which finally made it in about 16 hours across the ocean.
Very inspiring.
He died few years back.

AUW 11lbs or 5kg, (the FAI limit). Not 2kg!
A story to inspire young Indians thinking of solar powered long duration models.
Trans Atlantic flight done 16 years ago!
