Here is a video of a 850mm glider being tandem launched from a electric powered plane ..

The glider is of a "plank flying wing". Airfoil is AG38. It has full TE elevons. AUW 185gms. And the launching  aircraft was a EasyTrainer.

The glider was strapped on-to the Easytrainer belly with a thin rubber strap, which was locked in place by a servo actuated arm. On activation, the servo arm released the rubber strap and dropped the glider..

Both the aircraft were actively flown on the way up. .. i.e the glider was also controlled and flown to reduce the  load on the launching plane.

The glider glides amazingly well........ which can be seen in the video.
