Post by: topalle on August 09, 2012, 04:29:04 PM
Hello friends... i have started making a C-17 III GLOBEMASTER and I have created the wings... in it i want to use props instead of edfs...i have made the wing assembly and the tail and nose is left. is it possible that an edf aircraft can fly with props?

hi,

I dont know what is ur level of experience. but u seem to be choosing ur project wrongly. either ur are underestimating this hobby or having half knowledge.

Anthing can fly if

you have the proper knowledge and
if you have the right skills to fly.

you should be first taking all the required info from the net and then study the plans and understand power requirement. the C-17 globemaster will require at least 4 edfs . accordingly 4 lipos. edfs take a lot of current and hence the flight time is very little.

I have made a very light veight model from foam(with some reinforcement)... i am asking that whether i can place propellers inside the nacelles and fly my plane instead of buying edfs which are power hungry? i am not saying that i will only use two instead of four.
