I have made a rc plane out of Formica sheet. I used 2*6 sheet.
Electronics- Grand Turbo GT2210 motor,
20amp esc,
9*4.7 prop,
2200mah 11.1V lipo,
FS-TH9X radio.

Dimensions, Fuse- length 65cm, width 6cm, height 7cm(max.).
wing- length 80cm, width 13cm, ailerons 3cm and 55cm.

@vishalrao- Not yet completed. totally its weighing 1087g without battery.
@shauviks- No plans sir, designed myself.
@satyagupta- don't know what Formica sheet, but it is 1mm thickness.
Is it the normal Sun Mica thats used on table tops etc? Formica?

I sure like this. Any attempt to use different build method is welcome. But i think, for a 22kv motor the auw needed to be less then approx 1200 gm (1087 wo battery)
I'm afraid this is going to be way heavy Aniket. A similar sized model made out of coro would weigh less than 600 gms with 3s 1100mah battery. I don't think the motor can handle this weight. I have used same motor on my avispad (1250mm span/900mm fuse length) with a 10x5 prop and AUW less than 1000 gms. And it had just enough power. Even if it did fly, the plane would be very difficult to handle considering the heavy wing.
I second you vishal, I feel the same about the weight of the craft.
Yet, Aniket's idea of using formica is appreciated...Formica being rigid will hold well like balsa, it might be useful to remove large areas using a scroll saw and cover with monocote. For the wing, formica seems a good candidate for ribs. Good for planes running on hydrocarbons :)

i am beginner i dont know weather i am right or not but what i feel is that you should change landing gears it is too big for your plane and may have more weight than your plane
@Prashant_G- rc dhamaka suggested me that landing gear, after telling that my model is 600g.
But now it is 1208g ;D

I stand corrected. I had used the below motor on my avispad:

..Which is more powerful than the motor you are using.
You have two options now:
1. Put a more powerful motor
2. Build a new plane.
It's up to you to decide. Considering the weight of your plane, I guess it would need at least a 400 watt motor. And then you'll need to buy an equivalent esc too. I personally feel, it wouldn't be worth it to go for a bigger motor. Better build a new lighter plane out of coro or biofoam.
Landings will be hot with a powerful motor due to increased wing loading and thus increased stall speed

I am reducing the weight by digging big holes in the fuse and wing. at least i will make it to 750g.

Hydrocarbons sir? you mean running on an engine or a hydrogen fuel cell?
Sorry got a bit confused hydrocarbon bonds that are in our usual glow engine fuel got a bit confused with girish sirs term lol :giggle:.
