Hi RC folks,
I brought the Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger from HK.

Now I am in search for the power adaptor.
Spec for my charger
--------------------
Input Voltage: 11~17v
Circuit power: Max Charge: 50W / Max Discharge: 5W
Charge Current Range: .1~6.0A
These are my plans...
1) Assemble a power supply. 12-0-12 txmr / 5A, converting to DC (full wace rectification). I hope DC voltage will be around 13.xx something. Is it good? Any better way / modifications please...
2) Heard from Sreedhar that, 12V Toshiba laptop charger is available. If I go for this, what are the spec I should check in the laptop charger? Any other similar chargers available?
let me know you valuable suggestions.
Regards,
Dileep
Buy any laptop charger with output 12 V at least 60 to 70 W & see thst the output pin of the charger matches thi input jack on Your Accucel 6 - I have been running this setup for a very long time
1) Don't waste money on the txr and other circuit , i have done all those circus it will not work ,even slight higher or lower the voltage on charging ,it shouts like anything!
2) as adviced by 'Bill' purchase laptop power supply 12v,5 amp or make your own power supply using PC ATX SMPS ,that will be better ,
or enquire for universal laptop power supply which gives voltage from 12v-19v and 5 amp !
it is available in "Binary World" ,Bangalore cost around 650/-
Is it same for the Turnigy max 80w charger also?
For 80W charger you can use 500W PC ATX SMPS it will work very well!
Get the IBM Laptop Adapter
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I just checked few chargers in office now
Lenovo charger - 20V 3.25A, 65W
IBM thinkpad - 16V, 4.5Amp
Hope I can get IBM charger from Ritchie street in Chennai
Regards
Dileep
