Title: Problem with mounting propeller with motor
Post by: Prashant_G on August 04, 2013, 11:26:24 AM
Hello everyone
I am having problem with mounting propeller to motor  :help: here are the specifications
1.)Avionic M1826/31 KV1800 MICRO brushless motor (http://rcbazaar.com/products/1942-avionic-m182631-kv1800-micro-brushless-motor.aspx)
2.) 8*4 E propeller
the diameter of propeller is more than the side screws of the motor  :banghead:
but this propeller is suggested by rcbazaar so i thought that it will no problem
Some how i manage to mount the propeller but when i increase the throttle of motor rubber band slips and propeller comes out.

Please suggest me any  Idea

thank you aniket210696 and aniket1995  :hatsoff: i have tried prop adapter(circular objects :giggle:) but it did not work with single prop adapter so i inserted two prop adapters into prop then finally it worked properly. very soon i'll be completing my russ 40 . want little bit help again  :-\ 8-) what can i use for push rod from scratch, i have tried umbrella thin sticks, is there also any other option.

how did you put 2 prop adaptors?

this is a PROP ADAPTOR:-

this is a PROP SAVER:-

those can be called prop fitting rings... what you need to do is take those rings and see which one fits the motor shaft. then put that inside the prop hole and then mount it on the prop saver. or simply buy a prop adaptor... the prop you have is very difficult to mount on a prop saver though

prashant ... your prop and motor size looks like an issue... the prop is way to big for the motor .. either you are using prop used for engines.... cause 3 mm shaft motor cannot have a prop with such big dia..... Try another prop.

Prasanth the prop you are using are electric prop from rcbazaar..
Get gws  style prop from rc dhamaka or some lhs, comes in orange colour mostly.. those are the props for the motor you are using...and use 7030 or 6030 with that motor...
I guess 8" will be overkill for those...???

I agree with arun... go easy or you'll burn the motor...

Yes just turn the prop around and switch 2 of the 3 wires of the motor to the esc and your motor can now be used as a pusher :D
