The shipment will be done by India Post. 
All Orders got within the week will be taken to Local Post office on Saturday Morning. Funds for the orders booked should reach by Friday evening, else will be processed the subsequent saturday

@vksingh: Yes. One sheet aprox weighs 153grams, 10sheet 1.5kg + 1kg shipping(due to heavy weight carton). Nearly 2.5kg. It would be around 300rs.

Foamy, I hope you don't give up this business. Your prices, landed Guwahati, are GOOD! It works out to Rs.115 or so, per sheet, if I buy 20 sheets at a go.

Though the Blue Styrofoam is stronger, lighter and denser, it needs to be sliced as it is available in 25mm thickness only. It is very good for crafting full profile fuselage and wings.

I look forward to doing business with you very soon. Just a query - what will be the approximate transportation time to Guwahati, Assam? A rough estimate will do.

I suggest you to get a sample to know whether you get the same quality you expect, before you do a bulk order.
I would contact the postoffice and let you know approx transit time by tomorrow. As you know the postal service is slow, so it may not arrive as fast as courier.

Guys, Sorry that I need to introduce the volumetric shipping for this. I burnt my hands with couple of shipments. I thought I could absorb the extra shipping from my profit. I have attached the volumetric weight from the  amendment of post office rules. Dont worry, this wont increase the shipping exponentially but you still can afford this.  Still I wont charge for packaging even though its a messy job

I hope thats not a sarcastic remark . This is how the postal calculation, just implemented it as we know the thickness. As the depron is very light it never exceeds the volumetric weight, and they keep charging for volumetric weight.

Thanks Drone for the idea. As I cannot upload excel sheet, I am changing the extension as PDF.
Ppl please download the attachment and open it as excel sheet.

All orders received till 8pm today will be processed and sent to local post office tomorrow morning. Otherwise it will be processed only the next Saturday.

The basic cost per sheet will be increased to Rs 105 for orders received (for shipment outside bangalore) on or after 16th October 2010.

Have posted the 5mm sheets again. Just wanted to be transparent with the process . Looks like manufacturing cost of Biofoam is increased as it is a product of petrol. I dint know this anyway or I got duped 
So be cautious about wastage and plan and cut your Biofoam sheets.

Others I wouldt be able to pack and send to other places due to lack of time.
I have tried in the past to outsource this package and forwarding to courier companies.

NEW Rates:  Rs 150 for local pickup in Bangalore.
I was getting lot of requests to ship outside Bangalore but used to turn that down, due to packing issues.
One Good news is a Local guy has agreed for Packing in bulk, once at a time.
I would probably ship out of Bangalore Min 20 sheets Pack only due to the logistics.
I would keep this way on a trial basis. I would update the details later, once its packed and ready.
I am working with dtdc to give some flat shipping rate, if it doesnt work out I would integrate DTDC details in a website and give the shipping cost/details.
