I've failed in getting a 10 second flight last 3-4 years despite offering a Rs 1000 prize.

So I'm increasing the prize to Rs 5000.

10 second flight with anything except RC with power.

Proof of flight videos posted before offer closes, at 9pm Sunday 11th Oct.

In April, you said you were stuck in Indore during lockdown, and asked for some stuff.
But there was no reply to my posts...

Hey, yeah i was in indore, i wanted parts from you for my cousin, but by the time i located all the parts from u and websites, she changed plans. I just didnt know how to bring that up.
Then exams and i drifted away.
Now i gotback on rci looking for a mavic.
Nope No rooftop

there are 3-4 videos in which i reached the mark, i am still viewing all the recordings. and uploading it to the folder as i find them.
i ended up throwing airplanes more than 60-70 times

Honestly this isnt the best airplane design, but i was able to  squeeze 10 seconds out of it.
One thing that helped me were,
ironing the paper before folding. it removes a lot of moisture ( youll be surprised how much) and  makes the paper more stiff!

The longer you burn the paper under the iron the crispier it becomes at yes the cost of becoming more brittle!

thats amazing.

so i loved making paper airplanes always.
also i remember , in class 10 when i was caught making paper airplanes by tearing off pages from our english digest. my school principle  instead of scolding us provided us with newspapers from the library and asked us to continue exploring the air.
( just a memory i thought id share)
a couple months ago i threw a paper airplane off the cyclopean wall when doing a ground truth verification at rajgir, all my friends kept watching it. it just flew away!

Absolutely love things that fly, and would love to make my own trike some day.

And while i would love to share my Prize with others, i hate typing that--- i wont be sharing it guys

Guys, i recently got to know india record at a redbull championship was 10.45 seconds.
Looks like we on rcindia made that record a long time ago . So proud of myself 😉

I agree, I should have split the 5k as you suggested among multiple contetants, maybe another member could have cracked 14 seconds too !!

I hope to land myself in my first job soon and hopefully give back to rci community by hosting a similar challenge. :-)
