4850 KV?Huh? I read few reviews and people using 11 T ? What the heck? that would be super duper fast then, probably lower throttle curve then.

Yes, I read some reviews that it is more of a rocket than a heli... I got both 11 & 13 T so will do some experiments.. I have a stock 3850KV as well.. may be I will try that too. Waiting for stuff to arrive... which could be pain at times Sad

I would not recommend anything other than the MIP Thorp 1.5 mm hex. But its expensive at 15 USD.

The problem I saw with align is that align is 1.5 mm and HK screws are 1/32 inch which is slightly larger than Align Hex. Hence the screws get stripped easily.

If u plan to stay longer in hobby MIP is a decent investment.

wait for others to reply.

Would be grateful if the Senior Heli Flyers would spend some time going through the chart and advise us of the expected flight characteristics of both aircraft. They are largely similar with a few differences here and there. I feel both findvikas and I would benefit from your suggestions / advice.

Vikas, I hope this is OK with you, this is your thread, after all.

Thanks and Regards,

VC

I know what you mean. I've been trying to post an excel sheet as a jpg - it is not working out. Will try again later. The only diff is the motor and therefore the ESC, I am using a 30A ESC and an extra Tail Hold Servo, while your motor is more powerful and needs a 60A ESC. Other than that, we are on the same track.

All the best!

Post the links directly VC, otherwise we need to individually type all those links just to find out what those products are.

And none of us needs a 60 amps ESC. even Align ship their products with 35 amps. You need 60 amps if you are flying like a Pro with 4S and a 3300+ HS. Else even for an extremely good heli, I dont see the need for a 40+ ESC, but a good one like plush is better.

I also remember reading that one of those scorpion motors needed a 60 amps ones, but those motors are expensive and our turnigys are equally good at 1/4 the price but are slightly inefficient.

again a begineer question, could there be a problem having 60a ESC on my setup I read somewhere in reviews that 60a is better so I got it and also 30-40a was in backorder. HK has very limited ESCs or they sell like hot cakes, either ways the are mostly sold out.
