I am ready to buy if it is Rs 1400 + Courier (Rs100).

This is a new product wit MRP  fixed by the main importer  so if you can get it for Rs 1400 any where please go ahead and buy it from there.
I am sorry I do not bargain and haggle on pricing.
The prices mentioned here or on E bay are fixed .

Venkat  destroyed a cheap LED  torch  and  attached a search light  to the heli and though it looks  big for this heli it worked fine .

Taped  the light below the heli at CG and it flew great , the  duration of flying reduced from around 10 mins to 4 mins thanks to this mod  ;D

Is it the same one Rajesh was flying earlier ?

It is the same. Comes with 3 different type of bodies.

I'm not sure if Sai included a crash in the video to show how tough the model is built, but it can take a lot of beating and not get affected at all.

To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

Looks like it is sold out at most places.  I hope the local sellers can arrange some.

Please see the first few search results :

Looks like xheli.com will have it in stock in couple of weeks.

the problem which i am trying to solve i a problem with my Modelart 3Ch heli. it flew for a few days and then the tail rotor stopped working. I took to model art and they said the PCB and the motor is gone. Replaced both and within another 5 min of flight the tail rotor stopped working again. Not sure whats wrong. The plan lifts and flies, but the tail rotor diesnt spin. Anyone seen this?

akarshad

problem solved. the soldering on the new board came off killing the tail rotor. fixed.

akarshad

ModelArt heli issue.. Resolved.. the sequence of events..my version

1. Tail motor stopped working- ModelArt folks said the board and tail motor gone and needs replacement- Rs 550- replaced both
2. Within 20 min of flight the tail motor stopped working- ModelArt said, the solder was loose for the tail motor- resoldered. started working again
3. Within a day the problem reappears and had a burning smell from the canopy- initial response from ModelArt was that motor is gone, which i suspected as the power from the borad generally dont burn the motors, tested this and proved that motor was still good.
4. ModelArt replaced the main board free of cost and everything became alright. Looks like all this was triggered by the soldering that happened during step 1

Lesson- not always tail rotor is a suspect, view the soldering done in the board, ensure that you call/inform them as soon as the problem occurs or even better will be to test it atleast for one full charge cycle

I have no experience with these specific models, hopefully someone who has tried both (or knows more about both) will respond.

In general, the one with the gyro would be easier to fly, but may take away from the learning curve that will help you later on with bigger helis.

I have experience in using  one (without gyro) and seeing someone else use the other one. If you are someone who enjoys a relatively steeper learning curve go for the one without gyro. Its like trying to learn riding cycle with the side wheels and without side wheels.

Even the one without gyro, i am sure you will get bored within a few weeks, if not lesser. Other than flying around, other things you can try learning with that is precision landing,a.k.a CD case landing(which is tough without a gyro) and flying through narrow spaces.

My vote for the one without gyro just for the cheap thrill that it gives(like a i cant buy a Prado, so let me have a scorpio kind of :))

One of the things that I used to play with on such models (4 channel ones) is to try backwards flying (circles and figure-8s).  Such self imposed targets greatly enhance the fun/challenge with these.  Choose a big room, or outdoors on very calm days though.

good idea.. reverse flying 8 :) will try that till i get my MSR delivered on May 6th  ;D

kaushalsakaria

Thank you for your reply and guidance. As I am beginner on flying hobby. Can any one suggest me which Heli should I go after this Modelart one.
If you can provide me the some name and model numbers which I can buy later to get into intermediate Level and so on.. I'll be very grateful to you.
I am planning to get it from aboard since in India it is costlier, I have seen yesterday one "Raptor" would be around Rs. 60,000.

One I have seen in toyshop "M-Series" RS 3500 (bigger the Modelart heli) do you have idea how it is to flying like me as beginner.

If you are looking for electric ones, something like

1.  Belt-FP
2.  Belt-CP
3.  Hobbyking clones of the Trex 450 series
4.  Walkera Creata
5.  Thunder Tiger Mini Titan

The first two are simpler, the others are a bit more complicated.  Others may please pitch in.

I have this Modelart heli (6010) recently purchased...

It flies well till yesterday but yesterday evening the switch on heli got broken...

Now I can not swith it on or off, it seems it has a 2 way switch, with broken switch it is neither in charge mode or fly mode...

Any idea who can repair it ??

I can not find spare switch anywhere so I can not fix it for sure and electronic stores dont sell so small 2 way switch

akarshad

not sure about delhi, in bangalore the modelart showroom stocks almost all spares. why dont you make a call and ask that guy whether he can courier the switch to you.

jalanbk

even if they courier I don;t think I can fix it...

The board is too small for my soldering skills.. I have a shaking hand problem and I can not solder such a small part..

I need someone who can repair...

kaushalsakaria

you can find the Modelart showroom in Saket select city walk in new delhi. they do fix and repaired heli. i got my modelart heli repaired yetserday. they do change motherboard (with power button) Rs 600. for small heli which i have.
