Post by: ved on June 18, 2015, 10:46:46 PM
Hello Guys
So I got my flip32+ from banggood today. I went ahead and flashed it with cleanflight and calibrated the accelerometer and magnetometer. but I'm facing a big problem. I've uploaded the video regarding the same.
Help Needed.  :help: :help: :help: :help:

how did you calibrate the compass with the usb cable attached ?

check the voltage being supplied by the cable
run thru the calibration process again

I calibrated the compass by rotating it on all 3 axis. The USB voltage is fine. I tried with different cables and different PCs. It's not wobbling like before but now when I give slight yaw movement to the board it shows very large deflection.

Even when the board is kept undisturbed, the magnetometer heading readings keep changing.

that is not abnormal

put it on something and fly it . you will not need the compass
to get in the air

I solved the problem. But I had to loose my magnetometer. On RCGroups I read that you can disable the magnetometer by cutting the SCL trace. So I took a risk and went ahead and luckily it worked. The board is working all good now. Thanks saikat sir for your help.
