Hey everyone,

I need a mentor to teach me the ropes of flying fixed-wing RC planes. I'm based out of Lonavala, so traveling to flying fields in either Pune or Mumbai is easy enough.

Here is my current setup and progress:
The Learner: I have a foamy ready to take the inevitable hits while I learn.

The Project: I'm currently scratch-building a 59-inch wingspan great planes ElectriCub J3.

The Simulator: I'm putting in hours on Aerofly.

I won't sugar-coat it—I am terrible on the simulator right now. I can't get a single landing right without lawn-darting it. I need an experienced pilot to step in, correct my bad habits, and actually teach me how to fly before I destroy real equipment.

Secondary Request:
I am also looking to connect with guys who build their own aircraft. If you are into scratch-building, let's connect. I'm looking forward to eventually mixing traditional balsa builds with modern electronics, like integrating SpeedyBee F405 WING flight controllers once I actually know how to keep a plane in the air.
