haha yea i knew i wont actually be 'new' to this , but i was glad that i was able to think of it without any inspiration :D

plus saving extra money was a bonus too.

BTW, do you get any lag in the feed ?

The Lag what you are talking about is only at live view...recording on Laptop disk is normal. the lag what is coming is due to multitasking done by laptop.

I have Sony Exmor 1000 TVL, and 700 TVL Sony Effio.

See 420 is not a problem..if it is of good brand or original Sony.. 380 TVL is sufficient..any ways 1000 TVL exmor is good for all type of light conditions..
