Title: Need 4S battery for QAV 210, BEC
Post by: kn8alpha on September 25, 2016, 10:55:14 PM
Need a couple of things to finish a 4S build of QAVX 210.

4S LIPO.. 1300 to 1500mah, at least 35C

A good quality BEC for 4S to 5V.. Or any micro DC to DC converter board

What about 1550mAh 14.8V 25C 4S1P Lipo Battery ? But it is only 25C. There are many 4s lipo batteries (http://www.sp4mm3r.com/4s-14-8v-lipo-battery.html?p=1), but I can't find a 1500mAh 35C 4s lipo battery.

You will need atleast a 60 C battery. 35 isn't good enough. Which Power distribution board are you using? Most PDBs have integrated BECs. If you are looking for a Dc voltage regulator search for some mini sized buck converters. They shouldn't add much weight.

Thanks guys and sorry for the late reply.

I've ordered a Matek PDB (http://www.banggood.com/Matek-Mini-Power-Hub-Power-Distribution-Board-With-BEC-5V-And-12V-For-FPV-Multicopter-p-1005549.html) which has a BEC 5V/12V BEC that I'm looking for.

Regarding battery, I couldn't find anything in India over 40C (unless it costs a bomb) and secondly I've seen lot of setups that run only on 30C lipos. I'm planning to use rcpower motors which are efficient enough. I'm mostly building this as a slow and smooth flying aerial video platform with only occasional bursts of flying insanity.
