hey guys ok so i am going to kerala for a week to visit my grandparents and i guess it is possibly raining there too

Cabin baggage with electronics or without ?

Or do you mean checked in luggage ?

@subbu  - I will be in Kerala only in late July. You can check if Santhosh will be around, he is not too far from there Smiley

I guess electronics would be fine as long as you don't carry the Battery along. I am sure the security check guy will have a big shock... they were startled to see 3 GMRS walkie talkies with me which I was carrying with trekking gear. I was asked to remove the batteries and put in the check-in baggage.

I usually carry my transmitter and electronics and battery in my checked in baggage. However the battery has to be removed from the transmitter and the receiver batteries are also required to be stores seperately from the electronics.

Assembled electronics with Battery in place is a big no since the baggage will not check in, as the security detects them and make you remove the item and show it to them. further they make you remove the batteries from the Tx.

Never tried carrying an assembled plane for fear of breakages. I usually carry them wings detached in a kit form ready to assemble in a box in cabin baggage however very small planes only.

Now I have now flown to Pune with one complete set of gear including tx, batteries, electronics in mid may and now I am going to fly back to Delhi.
