hi roman,

I hope you are still looking to get into micro rc. I got my micro stuff few days back, here are some stuff i got from local electronics market (you can also give it a try in your city).

1. 3.7v 50mah Lipo used in Bluetooth head set (new), these weight about 1.27 -1.35 grams. Rs 38/- x 3no's Rs 40/- x 2no's.
2. micro connectors for usb charger,Rx etc 1.27mm pitch. Rs 20/- each.
3. some low-cost earphones for magnet and coil (31-33 ohms) Rs 35/- each.

Will do extensive testing on battery and earphone coils and post results.

some more pictures.
Note: that USB charger is a fixed 500mah single cell lipo charger, be careful when connecting lipos (check capacity)!

can anyone help on how do I make actuators so that I can use them instead of a rudder servo as I am planning to make a micro plane using the parts from a cheap toy heli (inspired by sundaram sir Arun.sreelakam sir and Kalyan sir ) so that I can fly in my building without going to the field.

Thanks Sahil great info.

I'm happy it was useful. B/w hacked the earphone and got two working coils/magnets but these are drawing quite a bit 110mah@4.1vots/36 ohms  Sad plus very hard to handle, requires a 60watt iron to solder/tin easily.

Hi Sundaram

How much experience do you have with super micro 2.4Ghz 3ch rx, what size coils work(ohms, min. ohms)?.

I have not used the super micro at all it was with me brand new.  By the standards of plantraco usage  with an assumption that will not deviate much for super micro too. I would say it's 75 ohms or least 50 ohms coil for actuator. You cannot use the coils of headphone as they are less ohms and too delicate to handle.

I wind my coils on a plastic juice straw. Once required length of enamel insulated wire is wound I spot it liberally with CA. once CA solidifies. I just collapse the plastic straw and draw it out.

Making the actuator coil is nothing but connecting it on a rx and to the control surface and placement of magnet is a delicate work which you have to able to do. Intersting read on them and Video on that

http://www.rcindia.org/servos-gyros-and-all-electronics/making-actuators/
http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/diy-micro-flyer-attempt-number-2(400mm-40mhz)/25/

Second video gives you complete mechanics of how to connect with control surface.

Sir thanks for both the videos.
where can I find micro lipo's like the one used in this build.
how did he connect the actuator to the radio.

and finally where can I find such plans for micro planes.

Update: while I was searching for micro stuff I found something on amazon http://www.amazon.in/s/ref=bl_sr_toys?ie=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Common+Sense+RC&node=1350380031

Re:

Nitesh. I would suggest do some reading yourself too. At least do read all the replies before posting questions after questions. Do some Google search too. Answer to all your question is already in this forum many times over. Even what i have done is just copy paste from this very forum and I am sure if you had searched you would have come across them easily. You will have to get hold of manuals of the specific receiver  you want to use by download and do some reading.

Please don't mind my harsh words since you will learn nothing by spoon feeding. You will learn only by doing it yourself after detailed study.

Of course you are most welcome to ask specific doubt on what you are working at hand. We will be more than happy to learn from what you are doing.

For the very same query has  already been answered by Sahil earlier. You can find small lipos in mobile repair shops. Which are used inside bluetooth headsets.

Refer reply #34 earlier
