Just the topic, nothing else. Which ESC is better? HK Red brick ESC or HK SS series ESC? (of course, both brushless) Tell in terms of
(i) Performane
(ii) Weight
(iii) Cost
(iv) Programming features using Tx (not a prog-card)
(v) Any other criterion

HYDRO PLANER.....

heavy.. thick.. rough in appearence.. no more frills and thrills with programming.. sturdily built.. and keeps the promise up to 20%.. dissipates heat nicely.. a lots.. works like a storm.. no tiresome.. its the RED BRICK..
thin.. light.. easy to install.. no more extra frills and thrills, like the red brick.. but works nicely.. almost.. but my one extra vote goes for red brick as it proved well in my boats and ships at heavy loads.. even without water cooling.. but the SS failed.. but still works fine.. and happily both are almost same, except the heat sink.. and some devices..  Thumbs Up

Red Brick is better if the bulk does not bother you. Programming it is a bit confusing but it can be done.. Haven't used the ss but I dont think it will perform as good near the limits. I run a 600W motor on a 50A red brick. Does not heat up even..Tongue

It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.
