Be careful about young enthusiastic spectators while flying at low altitudes in the street like that
The young ones get really excited !

Re: HK 450
+1 Anwar!
hangingtough, its real real bad idea to fly heli in such a tight and public place, if you are learning (pardon me if my assumption is wrong). The heli blades can shatter the car windows and render considerable damage even to the car body, what to say about human flesh/bones.
My very near friend Vinay went to a deserted, open hokey field size ground to the maiden.
I am reiterating, one severe incident in public, and in no time you would on national TV, especially being in NCR region.
I my self have 3 planes almost ready. But I have waited over 2 months to get Jakkur (Bangalore R/C club) membership.
Get in touch with local R/C enthusiasts like Pankaj, Dreamliner etc and go to a proper ground.
HK 450 is not a toy co-ax heli, and should be given all due respect.

Re: HK 450
Ujjwal, If you see his skills, its intermediate. For the kind of flying he is doing, Its rock STABLE! we cant do that for months. That means he has months of practice on those helis I believe. Though I still suggest not flying with kids so near in such small areas.
As I said, HK 450 ROCK at low prices. Great flying hangingtough

Great flying. The one thing that struck me was how stable your heli was in the air. No uncommanded movements and in perfect control.
Way to go !!!
BTW is this the heli with Alloy parts ? there are several on the HK website which one is this exactly ? Also what motor/ESC/Gyro/Servos you have on this one ?

Hi,
Thanks for many appreciation, great for a new bee like me.
No this does not have any alloy parts. It is still stock head.
Motor / Gyro is from Swanghobby, i dont remember the model no
Gyro - CSM-200
Servo - SG90
it is a budget setup , but i burned my ESC in next flight.
Now i waiting for replacement.
thanks for your interest

Re: HK 450
Gaurav - If you are planning to get one of these, my brother has been flying one with the recommended motor and ESC from HC (with couple of issues that needed fixing, as noted in the HK450 thread that I started). If you go with the MT version (or fix the couple of issues by upgrading those two parts for safety sake), you should see the same kind of performance (assuming you set it up right).

Re: HK 450
Anwar,
Yes i am planning to get a HK450 but thinking of the GT version, ie HK 450GT
Though out of stock right now, it will come on HobbyKing website in a few weeks, then i will go in for that. I think it has got many small refinements over previous versions so might be a good value for money.
I note that there are no spare parts available for the GT model yet, but hopefully they will stock them soon ( as the product is relatively new ) .
BTW could you point me to the HK450 thread you started ? Somehow the only thread i know of here is the one Vinay started...

Re: HK 450
Yes, the GT is a better choice, and I had listed the reasons in Vinay's thread. I have ordered one myself
It is the torque tube version though, just to see how it is. I will put a belt if it does not work, and I have all the tail parts needed to do that already.

Re: HK 450
Anwar,
The 450GT is in stock now !! and i am ready to order.
Something i wanted to chekc by you first was, that on HK website they do not seem to have the parts listed for this .
Perhaps the parts are yet to come, or perhaps the parts are interchangeable with the HK450 part list already on site ?
Lastly, if parts are not available, can i use Align ones to replace, in case i do need to change something ?
Though you may not be using this product, I am sure you can guide me with your experience.

Re: HK 450
Yes, it is claimed to parts compatible with the Align Trex 450 Pro.
You should not need that though, as parts for this should appear there soon. It is just a matter of time.

Re: HK 450
Ok cool. i am going to order the HK 450GT for myself - the belt version.
BTW the torque tube has already old out ! I think they got 150 of the yesterday and all are gone in less than a day.
I do hope they get the parts for the GT soon also !
