I have 2 lipos of 2650 mah for 2 Txs.
A few days back Adiboy called wanting to borrow a 1450 lipo for Tx.
Since i didn't have one, i suggested using a regular 3s like Zippy compact 1000mah.
He did, and found that it's a good solution.

The moral is:
YOU DONT NEED A SPECIAL BATTERY FOR Tx.
Just because you Tx draws less current doesn't mean you can't use a regular 20-30C lipo.

So please use your old 3s lipos for your Txs.

SPN

So please use your old 3s lipos for your Txs.

Only if it fits !!! - Don't cram  your old 3S battery in to your Tx battery compartment to make it fit Giggle

@sooraj.palakkad,
There's always double sided sticky tape that one can use on the back of the Tx...
The point was that you don't need a special battery for the Tx.

Actually I have been using 2S on Fly Sky Th9x tx, because tx works on 5v max internally. Powering it with 12v is just a lot of work for the internal voltage regulator.

Im not sure but it seems most 9ch tx'es from flysky, turnigy, frsky modules etc can run on 2S.

All TX works on 5V internally but regulators need 6V min to serve 5v output.

Most of them uses LM7805/LM78M05 can handle upto 22V Continuesly(in normal weather conditions with heat-sink), upto 16V For safe in hot weather conditions(with heat-sink)  and  13v without any heat-sink and up to 55 degree Celsius  (most of the radio comes like this).

Sometimes, (usually most of the summer) I have to fly in 45-48 Degree Celsius and within 5mins I can feel the back shell heating up on my Tx even while using 2S(motors cant be held for more than 3-4 seconds after 2-3 flights). And usually 2s can be discharged till 6.6v which still leaves enough room for voltage loss in regulators.

Yet in any case why is so much abundance required.
