Topic moved. Take care to see which board you're posting your thread in.

Also, avoid using SMS lingo on the forum.

What kind of noise did the motor begin to make? When you say "motor", I'm inclined to think it's an electric model. Am I right?

For a bent axle, try to see if it can be bent back into shape and if not or if you don't feel like it, you can replace it with a new axle.

Maybe a storm of sand got into the motor.  I don't know anything about modelart but there should be a warranty if it is new.

whoever or wherever you purchased it from should have the parts order info as well as warranty info. Or, if you purchased it from a store, just return it if the problem is due to defect and not misuse or abuse.

If it ran and stopped running, they might deem it to be user error. Is it a brushed or brushless motor? If it's brushless, open it up and check the bearing. If it sounds bad, you can take it out and replace it.

If it's brushed, just get a new motor, it's not worth the effort to get it running again.

but the owner says it is a recent purchase and there must a warranty.  replace the whole car if possible if the store allows it.  This is how they do business in other countries to keep customers happy.

Replacing the whole car seems unreasonable.

Does the shaft rotate on the application of throttle?

If you buy a new RC car and it doesn't work through no fault of your own, why get stuck with it?  The easiest thing to do is bring it back and let the shop owner pull a new one from the shelf.  But if this was another type of purchase (used car for example), those options don't apply.

Till we get more information from the OP, all we can do is speculate.

For all we know, it might be something as simple as a seized bearing.

Even if something is wrong with the car, the LHS might replace the component(s) after verifying that the components were not damaged during use. Like I said earlier, until we know more about the issue, we really can't help.

Hello guys, has anybody tried with upgrading a Modelart Sandstorm in any way? It is an electric truggy. I tried with upgrading battery from 800mAh, 15C to 1000mAh, 20C, now it runs faster. I am also interested to upgrade the motor as well. Looking for a brushless motor. I guess, it's mandatory to change the ESC with the motor because I think ESC varies with types of motors. There is a branch of Modelart in Forum mall, Bangalore, unfortunately they were not able to suggest any upgrade for my Sandstorm. If any of you folks has tried to make any upgrades on this vehicle, please share it.

the last friend who posted above; a question for you and i really want to know how did you do all the upgrading with the battery. I also own a modelart sandstorm and m looking forward to upgrade it. For batteries i would like your help and yes, for brushless motor;the original ESC has to be replaced with a new brushless ESC.

Contact the modelart customer support forum, contact number is mentioned on the booklet given to you with the rc car or google it. There's a modelart support store in Mumbai itself. You'll get all the parts from there. Dont forget to mention the spare part item no. Given in the manual. Cheers!
