Post by: rajaram on April 16, 2015, 11:22:45 AM
Mumbai International Airport Private Limited auctioned one of Vijay Mallya's prized possessions, an 11-seater jet, which is now being taken apart for scrap. The jet, which was once a sign of Mallya's prosperity, was auctioned for Rs 22 lakh as part of MIAL's bid to recover airport dues accumulated by the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines. A Kurla based firm - Silent Enterprises has purchased the aircraft from MIAL for Rs 22 lakhs in an online auction.

Yes saw this in news today but as a airplane lover felt sad.. can you imagine a beautiful jet airplane going in scrap... I believe there were many ways this would not have happened... I mean if any company would have purchased it when it was in a good condition...  this is a sick country with lot of politics..
