hi, can anyone post back on availability of small brushless motors locally. Looking to convert a fox glider to rc. Got everything including a motor but the one I have is 24 gms. AUW is coming to 128 gms. the model feels heavy. The battery pack itself is 30 gms. Any suggestions on motor and battery combo. Trying to restrict to a weight of 100 gms.
hi tg,
i have brushless Outrunner 1811 with 2900kv. its weight is around 12 gm, i used this motor with my 16" Eurofighter. had only 2-3 flights. it has, 2 mm gold connector soldered and a prop adapter as well. i think it is best suited for Fox.
suggested battery is 200-300 Mah 2S lipo with 6x3 prop.
if interested, kindly let me know!!!!
Ashish
Go on with Ashish's motor - they look apt for the Fox.
You are not in hurry, you can use the motor and prop for the HK-Mini Swift, which a knock off of t he MPX Fox Glider itself

As Ashish has said, use 2S 360-450mAh Lipo and 6-10A ESC
Hi Ashish,
Thanks for the offer, the only 2S battery I have is 500mAh which may not be usable with this motor (no??). For now I'll go ahead with the motor I have 2204/14. Will post back how or whether this works out.
hi tg,
2s, 500mAh battery will not harm this motor, this motor wil always run on this battery. only issue would be total weight of ur plane will go up!!!!!
if you want i also have 2x2s 360 mAh battery with me, which i am using in Eurofighter!!!!
yes but it is used for nearly 15-20 times but in pretty good condition and can be charged at 2C!!! i am planning to upgrade my eurofighter for 3s lipo, so if u want i can sell it off!!!
hey ASh still u have the same motor
Sorry Ashishdharme, it is used in one my project....
thanks for reply i m searching for the same, anyways i m also from pune want to join the RC group in the city?
