The Tamiya XR311 holds a very important place in Tamiya's history.  It was launched in 1977 and was Tamiya's very first off-road capable RC car.  This is the product that started Tamiya's long association with high quality scale-realistic RC kits.

In this video, we build the re-release XR311 kit and then upgrade it with a fantastic assortment of metal upgrade parts from Taiwanese specialist RC Channel.  We also look at the real vehicle that inspired Tamiya's kit.
