Hi everyone,

Sometime back I had downloaded a 1946 plan of a rubber powered 30" span Aeronca Champ by James Noonan from outerzone.co.uk. (Plan number #oz2243)

When I got it printed, for some reason it came out at 35" span.
Maybe not a bad thing, as that made it 1/12 scale, and I was going to build it for electric power and RC anyway.

Built the tail parts, then got distracted by something or the other, and forgot all about it.

Yesterday, seven years later, I got back the mood to complete it.

Skipping Sunday morning golf, pulled out the stack of balsa, and prepared parts for the wings.
Today completed the structure of one wing.

Hope I complete it soon this time!

Very clean build Sir! What covering material are you using?

Perhaps transparent Gold or Bronze Monokote. Maybe some solid colour for contrast.

Built one side over the other to make sure they come out identical. Luckily the did!
Cling film in between to avoid the sides sticking to each other.
