Sandy ! when together again, we could start a thread of that place, now, since i am flying all over, thought this is a better idea.

Iyer Sir, 27th Sunday coming there to fly, posted on Hawabazz as well, Yes Hussain Sagar and Go Pro Hero 3 Black (Nitesh !! )

(In one shot you can see the reflection of the quad) SlideShow is good to watch Click Here for the Slideshow (http://s1119.photobucket.com/user/augustinev/slideshow/Aerial%20Shots)

yes ! Dr Watson ! you're right like i said before "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? "

I am happy that you accept the title of Sherlock Homes but that does not mean I have to be Dr Watson. I am happy being Sundaram  :giggle:  :giggle:

It was exactly for this kind of stuff that i started a thread
http://www.rcindia.org/rc-people/old-timers-zone/msg171949/#msg171949 (http://www.rcindia.org/rc-people/old-timers-zone/msg171949/#msg171949)
But found no takers.
Presumably due to lack of old timers!
Or because they are truly young at heart  ;D

Jet meet was held at Capt Vicky Randhawa's place, Fliers flew in from Bombay, Nagpur etc, it was one nice place meant only for RC Flying, i need Capt's permission to post the place and Hangar (A real one) however some of the Jets are here and some shots from my new Snooping Device (As observed by Dr Watson ;) )

Flying by A Sundaram was captured by the Hexa ('A' is for 'Akshay' not 'Ati' :giggle: )

I could see only one photo from your new snooping device Gusty  :giggle:  but I must say, the resolution of your snooping device is not up to the mark for Sherlock Homes. I could not spot Akshay Sundaram's bird in the frame.

PS : I have witnessed Live Akshay's Falcon and Capt's Scorpion in last Amby Valley meet. Man what a beauty it was.

Clarity of my snooping device is limited by anwar ! (200 kb), didnt see A Sundaram Flying Jets this time. flew a white prop bird

Title: Re: My Flying activities :Gusty
Post by: sundaram on July 07, 2014, 06:38:46 PM
Why blame Anwar now Gusty.   :giggle: :giggle: The limit was 200KB

Your photo was just 54 KB. In a jpg image size of 800x548 if you cannot catch the plane clearly I will still blame it on the snooping device or the skill of sherlock homes using it

Title: Re: My Flying activities :Gusty
Post by: rcpilotacro on July 07, 2014, 11:16:24 PM
Your photo was just 54 KB.

wait a minute 200 KB / post isnt? i.e. around 50 KB /Pic or did i get it wrong  :banghead: , anyways ! for your benefit (Considering your age, eyesight and all.. :giggle: ) i have circled where the aeroplane and Akshay is :giggle:

PS
Did you see the Slideshow?, i thought it has come out well

PPS
Can you see the jet ? :giggle: in this pic, or should i circle it ?

Title: Re: My Flying activities :Gusty
Post by: sundaram on July 07, 2014, 11:29:15 PM
Hold your horses Gusty.  I hope you are not going to go all emotional on me now are you  :giggle:  :giggle:

I think I did mention that those were some pretty neat shots over water and I am still eagerly waiting for the video.

PS : Defenitely the circling did help in identifying the subjects in the particular picture in question. As far as age is concerned do I need to remind, you are just a day younger to me.  :giggle:  >:D

PPS : Now that I know what to expect, I can see the scorpion after creating a mental block for the helicopter.  >:D >:D

I see, you could identity scorpion from such a small PIC. Therefore. Whatever the docs might say. You are Shape 1, 6/6 Dr. :giggle:

@iyer sir of course apart from the promise anything else from here?

This space hasn't been visited in a while. Here we go. Here is the DJI inspire. Frankly, overrated machine.

Gusty sir, 'Flite Test' were pessimistic about its capabilities too but they ended up giving a more-than-satisfied review. I remember them saying it's like a 'tripod in the sky' for AP. And, it has amazing stabilization indoors as well. It's certainly overpriced though.

Are you referring to its flight characteristics when you say 'over-rated' or just its overall features?

Title: Re: My Flying activities :Gusty
Post by: rcpilotacro on May 11, 2015, 10:16:29 PM
My flite test review

1. Quick Stop is not quick enough, at extreme Quick Stop speeds, she descends, indication of full rev and power not being adequate

2. During moderate quick stop Yaw, she rolls (as expected when I did the quick stop)

3.  Sonar to undercarriage is a gimmick that is functionally not required, that mechanism adds weight thereby reducing endurance to some 15 -17 mins which otherwise could have been couple of minutes more

4. Didnt understand the requirement of a proplock clip for a self locking propeller

Yes ! overrated in terms of performance and price

PS
if you are into getting airborne and staying and moving around slowy to get a good aerial view (less dynamic of course) may be you could build one hexa with a good autopilot for lot less

This one quite steady in the air though !

Volantex Ranger EX FPV, Worst trash i have ever seen, she flaps wings like a ornithopter, time permitting i shall put up a video, you can see it for yourself, Getting her up and bringing her back in one piece for those couple of flights !! was a nightmare Did some FPV with Vector Autopliot. Volantex Ranger EX is not even worth 2 cents
