but is it worth it ??? and will I get the spares if needed ???
I have the same 1/10 modelart truck it is strong but not too much and you have to charge battery for 4 hours and 25 min running time. You can get spares from Model Art forum mall (not sure)
wont these run on our regular lipos ???
may be after changing the ESC ???
The build quality of Model art model is barely satisfactory, you can chose to upgrade stock parts but then that's a waste with such Rc car. Models like HPI,losi, traxxas, thunder tiger n even some tamiya Rc's justify thr high price in a long run. Some of there 1:16-1:18 models may be close to your budget. You can also chose a used one
N for your question : 1/5 -1/8 -1/10 scale, first decide what when where n how are you going to use ur RC. Do U want a drift, truggy, buggy, crawler or something else, do you have space. N most importantly do check any such models with ur friends or LHS, you'll get a better idea. Hv fun mate
GUYS....I need some :help: here
any suggestions on Thunder Tiger Sparrowhawk XT
and can I use 2200mah 3s 25c lipos... on this truggy...???
@madaquif yes you can use a lipo ...my friend is using it on thunder tiger sparrowhawk xt
do I have to change the stock esc?
no need...is it brushed or brushless.
Dont know...
I'm planning to buy one soon.... (:|~
just want to make sure im buying the right stuff for my needs
what i can recommend is yes you can use a lipo...
but be careful in choosing the Lipo ..my friend was using 2S 7.4 V Lipo
not 3S
I will suggest you to run on a 2s lipo becouse if you will use 3s lipo your esc will over heat very quickly and soon your esc will die(10-12 runs or quickely) :)
so 3 cell lipos are of no use I guess...... :banghead:
just in case , (if n when I burn the ESC ) are those available ???
Can I get a better ESC to utilize my 3 cell lipos ???
yes,you can get better ESC to utilize your 3cell lipos
Agree with shadowstriker and shadowsfromthemist (too many shadows?! :p). With the temperatures in India, you're even more likely to burn your ESC/Motor. If you still want to run on 3S, give the car 2-3 min breaks after every 5 or so minutes. It can get annoying but that's just the way it is.
Make a hole in the body if you don't mind it, for ventilation -- if it still overheats.
EDIT: Yes, definitely. You have as much variety in cars as in planes!
If you gear down, you'll ease the load on the motor.
Ideally, you'd want a 2s lipo with that setup.
