Title: 20cc profile 3D plane wanted
Post by: samlikespad on June 25, 2012, 01:11:46 AM
Hi, I have a dle 20 lying idle since couple of months looking for an airframe. Can some one help me find a decent 3D profile for it? I was hoping to get some thing similar to the AW extra proX 260, EE .60 etc. The bird needs to be shipped to Kottayam, Kerala. I am also looking for a foamy (EPP) 3d plane like the profile HK yak55.

Thanks magarwal1, I have seen them before. I was looking for a local ( Indian) distributor. Please do let me know if you happen to know any LHS that sells planes like these.

Customs can be a pain if you get it outside India and not to mention the shipping cost, If you can wait for few more days Sanjeev Sha has confirmed this will be back in stock     http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_47&products_id=879

Cheer's...!

The katana is not in stock yet and no response from RCD :( Searched almost all the LHS sites but couldnt find a 20 size slab anywhere.

Thanks magarwal1, I have seen it... but it involves shipping and I doubt the quality of the airframe to support 20cc gasser. Its too early to say. I was looking for an Indian LHS (like RCD had the katana v2 before).

This plane has developed quite a bit of interest at our field. I will be seeing 2,3 of them in a couple of months time.

The only problem with these plane is there is no Spar in the fuselage to strengthen it. My gave a good 40 flights before my fuselage broke.

Its better to buy Aeroworks ProX260 .60-.90 QB "Freestyle" as it comes with spar build in and is pretty good to fly. I spend $100.00 plus to strengthen my fuselage after that it lasted 40 flight of extreme flying. I had the Hobbyking Sbach 342 Profile 20cc Gas 3D, Hobbyking and SDShobby both are selling Redwing Aircraft models so both have the same structural weakness.

Been flying my AWProX 60.90 for a long time now. After the first day second flight crash, rebuilt without much weight difference and been enjoying flying her. Two weeks back after a break I flew her and while on a high alpha close to ground KE, fuel got cut and the ground pulled her nose down  :banghead: Just rebuilt her (this time a lot more weight added  :( ). Pics attached. Now busy building my 30cc extra 260 ;) But will try to fly the AW tomorrow hopefully.
