Max Watt = 342, Take efficiency = 0.98 Supply voltage = 11.1 Volt (3S) So, current = (342) / (11.1 x 0.98 ) = 31.43A, Taking Safety factor = 1.5, ESC Currecnt rating = 31.43 x 1.5 = 47.16 A So, A 50A ESC will be safe. Of course use battery discharge current capable of delivering full load current = 31.43A So, => 1.5AH, 25C at least. (1.5 x 25 = 37.5A) Hope I can explain simply. Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: ashJR7202 on June 27, 2011, 11:56:06 AM what is ur requirement for 2200kv motor?? is it jet or something else?
i have both motors 2212/06 (2200Kv) and 2826/06 (2200Kv) from RCtimer, and to my surprise both have same dimensions, that is 28 mm diameter and 26 mm can length. didnt check weight yet!!!!! for 2212 i am using 30A turnigy ESC and most probably will be using same for 2826. i haven't used 2826 yet but i think may have same performance as 2212, not sure!!!!!! but just for precaution use 40A ESC for 2826!! cheers Ashish Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: Snehal.Samar on June 28, 2011, 03:27:45 PM @R/C vish

@ashJR7202 I wanna use this for Mickey rc f-117 http://www.mikeysrc.com/F_117.html So what motor to use? with what ESC? I will also be using 1050kv motor. Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: ashJR7202 on June 28, 2011, 04:21:29 PM go for 2212/06, 2200 Kv motor with 30A Esc!!!
r u planning to use 1050kv motor for F117!!!!! dont, u may have to use bigger prop and may not fit in this plane!!!!! Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: Snehal.Samar on June 28, 2011, 04:25:57 PM no no 2200kv for f117
http://www.mikeysrc.com/F_117.html and 1050kv for airtruck http://rctestflight.webs.com/airtruckinstructions.htm therefore what u guys are telling that i will have to use two different ESC's for 1050kv and 2200kv. :headscratch: Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: ashJR7202 on June 28, 2011, 04:27:49 PM 30A esc will work with both motors!!!!!
but may be little heavy for plane!!!!! but no worries Ashish Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: Snehal.Samar on June 28, 2011, 04:34:52 PM @ashJR7202 but this motor
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12919 asks for 40A esc. i wanna use 2200kv for F-117 and there is a 2200kv motor on HK http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=5203 but that is innerunner and thus have no flat mount. Title: Re: 2200kv outrunner with flat mount Post by: ashJR7202 on June 28, 2011, 04:45:56 PM go for 2826, other one is pretty heavy and not for ur purpose!!!
30A ESC is fine 2212. but never used mine 2826, though i think it will be enough, but to be on safer side go for 40A for this motor. but it will be heavy for ur other model!!! if u want u can try 2212 from rctimer it has got good built quality, but little expensive, but again comes with free shipping!!!! |
