If you are expecting normal performance you can go with multiwii328p+gps and you can get the combo for about 2500. But it has its own disadvantages. Its barometer is not that good so altitude hold is not that good and also compass is on board so there might be yaw error. If you want good performance go for APM +gps its one of the best flight controllers in the market. Its best deal for bang for your buck.
