Title: Props and LiPO
Post by: parichya.gautam on December 24, 2014, 11:10:24 AM
My Quad is finally completed without any issues this time.

I need 10x4.5 props- Composite material ( midway between plastic and CarbonFiber)

Along with that, a 3000mAh+ LiPo

ALSO, LED Light strip for X600 Frame.

Need a good deal on the products.

Cash-Strapped Customer here XD

Are you looking for used products? If not, one of these might suit your need:
http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=2495 (http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=2495)
http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=2494 (http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=2494)
The pitch is slightly different from what you need though you can use eCalc to check if they will be ok. These are a Nylon/Carbon composite. Twice the price of regular props but less than half the price of CF props. I use the Wild Scorpion 3500 mAH 30C LiPo. God quality and it has a really good mAh/  :Rs: ratio. The one I have got slightly deformed in transit but still works fine. Sadly, it is out of stock on RCMumbai.
There are plenty of LED strips available here: http://www.quadkopters.com/product-category/night-flying-accessories/ (http://www.quadkopters.com/product-category/night-flying-accessories/) They would be really easy to use if you have a HobbyKing PDB which has a JST 'bling port'

shipping charge of RCB is high compared to others. I care about the final cost.

These are full CF props. I thought you were looking for something in between CF and plastic? Also, how long have you been flying your quad (considering you had a faulty kk and all that). CF props are not advised for new pilots considering that they are a lot more dangerous when (not if) they break. If you have got used to flying and stopped breaking props then by all means go for them. They are stiffer and reduce vibrations.

well its the FIRST time, just an hour ago my Quad finally flew ! :D

And then something happened and it crashed, breaking one of my prop. (and bending the motor mount )

So that's why. they were comparatively cheaper so thought of buying them. I think, ill go with these.

and one in orange and one in black (Set)

oh and BTW, what if I go with multi-blade prop instead of the normal 2-blade ?
I have a 3-blade and its really sturdy !

Congrats on making it fly  The first flight always feels awesome  8) I am not really sure about the 3 blade props. If you decide to go with 3 blade props, you will have to use 3 blade props on all the 4 motors. The first link you posted is for Nylon + Carbon props and the second is for plastic so I don't think you can mix and match both. If you buy the orange props, buy these with them: http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=1218 (http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=1218) I like using all black props since orange ones look kind of tacky. They may help with orientation though. have you figured out what caused the crash? Pilot error or hardware?

cause of the crash was well a stone XD

I thought it was a perfect landing until the stone came :P

and regarding the orders, well the shipping of RCB is too much :P

just ordering the Nylon ones for now.

i disagree!! you could use the 3 blade on the motor, once i ran my quad on 3 no. of 3 blade and 1 no. of 2 blade prop!!
the difference is the motors will run at a different rpm than other, one problem is be carefull not to go more than 85% throttle and the props dia and pitch must not vary much!!

Edit:- but not recommended!!

regards,
JK

It seems that RCBazaar has finally made it's new website that was available for testing live. Even I have had some issues adding to cart from the product page. Going back to the product category page and clicking buy multiple times worked for me.
